Your contracts stay with you
The ContractNest desktop app stores contracts, partners, documents, reminders and reports in a local database and an encrypted folder on your computer. We do not receive, upload or have access to this content.
What we process
| Ordering | Name, email, company name, billing address, country, VAT/tax ID, optional phone number, chosen payment method. Purpose: contract performance, invoicing and legal record-keeping (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR). |

| Payments | Amount, date and bank or payment-provider reference of your payment; an optional receipt you upload. Card data is handled entirely by the payment provider and never reaches us. |
| Licensing | License ID, activation key (stored encrypted), workspace ID and name, device ID, device name, operating system and app version, time of activation and last license check. Purpose: issuing and validating licenses, fair-use limits (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). |
| Emails | Order, payment, license and renewal-reminder emails and their delivery status. |
| Security | A keyed hash of the IP address used to place an order, and server logs without request bodies, to prevent abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). |
Retention
Order and payment records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting law. Licensing data is kept while the license or its renewals are active and for up to 24 months after expiry, then deleted or anonymised.
Recipients
Our hosting provider, our transactional email provider, our bank, and, if you choose card payment, the payment provider. Each processes data on our behalf or as an independent controller for payments.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability and object to processing based on legitimate interests, and you can complain to a data protection authority. Write to the support address above.
Cookies
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. The admin portal used by our staff sets a strictly necessary session cookie.
This policy must be reviewed by the seller's legal adviser before going live.
